NOVA NOTE: INCLUDES WHITE NYLON COUPLING FOR DRIVE ROD. USE BOLT #83229. HEIGHT MOUNTED ON BLOCK 2 1/2". OIL PUMP High volume oil pumps are not available for the 62-67 Nova front sump application Pt# 01003. High volume pump is only available with rear sump pans. Rear sump oil pump will not work on a front sump application. OIL PUMP DRIVE ROD Oil pump drive rod for the front sump oil pan is different than a standard Chevy small block. It is ½” shorter. Pt# 01004 OIL PUMP VS CRANK CLEARANCE On some engines the #8 rod bolt/nut may hit the oil pump. Bolt up the oil pump first and rotate the crank assembly with the connecting rods in place. If it hits the pump, using a black marker, mark the pump and grind away that area on a bench grinder. Remark and grind several times as not to grind away more of the pump than needed. 1/8” clearance between the rod bolt/nut is sufficient.
